24-year-old Watford entrepreneur James Morgenstern recently attended a Downing Street meeting of the creative industries at the invitation of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne.
James started his business, Ideal Insight, two and a half years ago from his bedroom and has now grown it into one of the UK’s leading photography companies. The invitation from Downing Street was in recognition of the success ‘Ideal Insight’ has achieved and the potential the start-up holds.
Ideal Insight is an official contractor to Google and is responsible for bringing Google Street View inside businesses across the UK. The service enables businesses to standout online by enabling customers the opportunity to see inside and virtually tour a business’ facilities ‘as if they were there’. Ideal Insight’s 360º Google Virtual Tours are integrated across the Google platform and can be easily embedded into websites and Facebook too.
Local Watford MP Richard Harrington, first met with James over a year ago in his start-up Watford based studios. Richard has since been a great supporter of Ideal Insight and said:
“Starting out in business can be daunting, and I know from personal experience just how much of a rollercoaster it can be. As a Government we are supporting small businesses like Ideal Insight and it was a pleasure for me to invite James to meet the Chancellor directly, so that they could discuss wider support for the industry and how Watford is a great place for digital businesses. James is a great local creative champion and I am sure Ideal Insight will continue to grow, and create more jobs.”
Local businesses are taking advantage of this service too. Local clients include Watford Colosseum, Moor Park Mansion and The Feathers Pub. Nationally Ideal Insight’s clients include many of the nation’s leading brands and venues such as John Lewis, Virgin Active and The Olympic Park.
Upon receiving the invitation James said, “I am incredibly humbled, honoured and excited to receive the invitation. Giving up everything to start Ideal Insight was a huge risk and it’s support like this from the local MP and the Government which really helps to add new energy and confidence to continue growing the business in our innovative and unique ways.”
