On Monday 20 March, Richard Harrington MP welcomed Abbots Langley Primary School’s newly elected school council to Parliament for a Q&A and a tour.
The pupils had a tour around Parliament where they learnt about Westminster Hall, St Stephen's Hall, Central Lobby, the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
The pupils then had lunch with the Watford MP and had the opportunity to question him. He was asked a range of questions by the kids, from nuclear defence and Brexit to whether he'd met the Queen.
Richard Harrington MP said:
"I have to say the students were brilliant, and very well behaved, a real credit to their families! I think it’s so important to engage young people with politics and, for me, getting them to come to Parliament and see the home of our democracy is a great way to do just that!"
