Richard Harrington MP welcomes Health Secretary’s funding announcement which will mean an extra £1.2 million for West Herts Hospitals Trust as it prepares for the winter months.
Watford General Hospital will benefit from extra capacity in their emergency care unit as the money will create more beds.
He says: “ As Watford’s MP, it’s my job to make sure we are prioritised for investment. That’s why I’m pleased to confirm that our local NHS will benefit from additional Government funding this winter.
I will continue to work closely with NHS staff on the wider redevelopment plans for Watford General, but in the meantime, the extra £1.2 million will go a long way to ensuring our emergency care is ready for any winter pressures.”
