On Friday 16th June 2017, Richard Harrington MP visited Tremona Care Home in Watford for Herts Good Care Week.
Herts Good Care Week is about saying thank you to the legions of care and support workers who enable people of all ages and abilities to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
As part of this initiative, care homes across Hertfordshire were opening their doors to the community so that local people could spend time with residents and staff. The staff there had also organised various activities throughout the day, including a visit from students at West Herts College for a pampering session, grand prix racing and afternoon tea.
Richard Harrington said:
" It was a real pleasure to visit Tremona Care Home and spend time with the staff and residents there. Good Care Week is a fantastic initiative and it's also a good excuse to get local communities together. I think it's really important that we acknowledge the fantastic work that care workers do in Hertfordshire, with many going above and beyond the call of duty.
I really enjoyed the day's activities and it was great to see a mixture of ages too, the youngest being 10 and the eldest 105!"
