On Friday 3rd March, Richard Harrington MP re-opened The Hammer in Hand Pub in Garston, following an extensive £326,500 refurbishment by national pub operator Punch. Mr Harrington joined local brothers and new publicans of The Hammer in Hand, Paul and Peter Jeffrey, for a tour of the new-look pub.
The pub opens from 9.30am, Monday to Friday, so that parents and carers of children at local primary schools can enjoy a coffee and a snack after the school drop-off. There will also be plenty of entertainment on offer with discos, live music and family fun days frequently taking place.
Richard Harrington, MP for Watford said:
“I’m very impressed with what has been achieved at The Hammer in Hand - the refurbishment has really improved the facilities. Talking to Paul, Peter and their team, they clearly have a strong focus on supporting the local community and I wish them every success.”
Paul Jeffrey said:
“We’re delighted with the results of the refurbishment and have had great feedback from the locals. As a keen darts player, I’m particularly keen to help continue the pub’s success in pool and darts competitions and raise money for local causes in the process.”
