On Thursday 30th March, 70 residents of Watford came for a tour of Parliament and a Q&A with Richard Harrington MP.
The group were given a tour around Parliament, including Westminster Hall, St Stephen's Hall, Central Lobby, the House of Commons and the House of Lords. They were also given the opportunity to ask the local MP some questions about his plan for Watford, Brexit and his role as Pensions Minister.
Richard Harrington said:
"It's always a pleasure to welcome people to Parliament. When I was elected in 2010, it stuck me how many people in Watford hadn't visited Parliament, even though we are so near, and so I made it my mission to open it up to local residents. After all, we all own a tiny piece of it!
I try and organise tours on Thursday evenings, so please do get in touch if you'd like to book onto one. We also book a coach to make it easier for people to get there and back. "
