Richard was invited to Toad Hall Nursery, Hempstead Road to see the recently completed new nursery building.
The local MP toured the new facilities and spoke with staff about the activities they plan for the children. As a result of the works at the nursery they are now able to offer 6 extra spaces for babies, 12 spaces for 1 year olds and 3 new spaces for over 3s.
On the visit, they also discussed the nursery's implementation of the government's flagship policy of providing 30 hours free childcare to working parents of 3 and 4 year olds in Hertfordshire. The Watford nursery is part of a trial of this policy before the national roll out in September.
Finally, Richard was very pleased to meet a new staff member that the nursery had hired at his Jobs Fair in June!
Speaking about the visit, Richard Harrington, MP for Watford, said: "It was fantastic to meet yet another person who had found a job at my 2016 Jobs Fair, I can't wait to start planning the next one."
