Tax-free childcare is now available for families whose youngest child is under six.
Watford MP Richard Harrington welcomed that around 120,000 families in the East of England are set to benefit, and can apply online now. This will then be rolled out to families with children under 12 from March 2018.
If you get tax-Free childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider via an online account.
Parents will be able to apply for tax-free childcare and 30 hours free childcare under the same application.
Mr Harrington said:
" Childcare costs can be a huge challenge for working families. That's why we have doubled the free child care entitlement for working parents, as well as introduced tax-free childcare. This will mean more money in families' pockets."
