What is an average week like for Watford’s MP?
“A normal week is three days in Parliament and three in Watford. In Parliament, it’s meetings with ministers, attending debates and voting. In Watford, it’s visiting schools, charities and businesses and holding surgeries and public meetings.”
What is the biggest challenge facing Watford?
“We need to give Watford more of an identity. There is so much going on that people don’t know about. It’s my job to make sure they do!”
What do you enjoy most about representing Watford?
“Lots of things - meeting new people and visiting places I wouldn’t normally see. I really enjoy seeing results, fixing people’s problems and seeing things develop from ideas to reality.”
What are your priorities for the next year?
“We need to continue to tackle unemployment. I’ll be continuing my work to boost apprenticeships and will again be hosting the Watford Jobs Fair. The other big priority has to be continuing to support Watford’s big development projects.”
