Hertfordshire has the largest Neighbourhood Watch in the country, but they are always looking for new volunteers and members.
On Wednesday 25th January a meeting will be held at Watford Police Station, Shady Lane, Watford, WD17 1DD from 6.30pm to 8.30pm which is open to exisiting coordinators and new volunteers. It's a good opportunity to give back to the local area and get to know your PCSOs and neighbours.
Just recently, Conservative Hertfordshire Police and Crime Comissioner, David Lloyd agreed to fund our Neighbourhood Watch – HertsWatch for the next four years which will ensure that our watch continues to grow and remain one of the best networks in the UK.
110,000 households in Herts are registered on the OWL messaging system which lets residents know about issues in the area. This is one of the highest numbers of members in the country.
The more residents who join NHW means we all benefit, because we are all looking after our neighbours and reporting crime and suspicious activity in a timely manner.
Members of the public can sign up to Neighbourhood Watch by visiting www.owl.co.uk or alternatively, contact the Watch Liaison Team wlo@herts.pnn.police.uk.
