Watford MP, Richard Harrington, is celebrating the success of the Watford Jobs Fair that he held yesterday, 28th June, with over 3,300 people attending and 100s of people having job interviews lined up for next week.
The Fair that took place on Watford High Street yesterday saw over 3,300 people visit to look for vacancies with the 60 local companies that took stands. Most importantly, speaking to some of the jobseekers and the companies in attendance Richard has learnt that at least 100 people have already arranged for job interviews next week.
This is the second Jobs Fair that Richard has held, with the aim of helping Watford residents find employment and to help local companies recruit new staff.
The Fair was held in conjunction with Watford JobCentre Plus, West Herts College and the National Apprenticeship Service and was supported by Watford based Camelot group.
Richard said “I am absolutely thrilled that so many people were able to make the most of everything that was on offer at the Fair, and crucially that I already know of at least 100 people who have job interviews booked in.”
